ARACHNE / SSPIDR Solar Power Beaming Visualization

A commissioned 3D asset of the ARACHNE satellite, alongside a ground-scene visualization of the SSPIDR space-to-ground power beaming concept.

Millennium commissioned a 3D asset of ARACHNE, the keystone flight experiment in the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Solar Power Incremental and Demonstrations Research (SSPIDR) project. A companion ground-scene visualization depicts the concept of beaming solar power from the satellite to a rectifying antenna (rectenna) at a forward operating base.
